It was with great shock I received the sad news today evening that our dear friend and SMA family member Roy Kunnappillil (52 years) passed away in Kerala during his holidays. He left for the heavenly abode on 13 May at 4 P.M. (Indian time) at PVS Hospital Ernakulam.

With deep sorrow, we inform you the demise of Kunjachen Vallomthail (57), this evening (22.02.08) due to an accident in Chertallai. World Malayalee council-Swiss Province express our heartfelt condolences to the grieving family survived by Kunjachen’s wife Mrs. Elsy Kalambaden and 2 Children.
Kunjachen Vallomthail lived in Switzerland for many years, initially in Tessin (1982-) and later in Schaffhausen (1987-). He returned to Kerala and settled down in Chertallai in 2001. He was active among the Malayalee community in Switzerland and was known organiser in Malayalee associations. He was instrumental in the formation of World Malayalee Council in Switzerland in the year 1995. He was also a known writer, a voracious reader and an excellent orator.
The funeral services will be conducted in Thangi Church, Chertallai on the 24th at 2.00 PM.

We regret to inform you the demise of Mr. Kunjachan Vallonthaiel. He met with an accident this evening (2030 hrs Indian Time, 22nd February) and passed away thereafter at Shertally (Cherthala, Alleppy District).
Mr. Kunjachan was the President of the Malayalee Association, Switzerland during the period of 1985-86.Following which he laid the foundation for World Malayalee Council, Swiss Province, in 1995. In addition to being one of the founders of the Indian Cultural Organization, he also took over the President ship of the same in 1996-97. He was also an active member of the OURS CLUB, Lugano.
During Mr. Kunjachan’s years of service for the Organization, he distinguished himself among his colleagues with his pleasant and enthusiastic manner. He was a valued member of our team, and we can be justly proud of his contributions. He was an exemplary act of inspiration and a great support for the Organization.
His friends and colleagues remember him with respect and admiration and he will be missed by all.
We express our heartfelt condolences to his family. We hope that time and memories will help lessen their burden of sorrows.
